Legal Counsel (Land)

Requirements:

• Qualified property solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales.
• 3-5 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Strong background in leasehold portfolio management and/or agricultural land law.
• Prior in-house experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication, judgment, analytical skills, and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Drive and progress multiple habitat bank land transactions through managing external law firms and ensuring exceptional outcomes.
• Draft and negotiate habitat bank leases and management agreements, flexibly managing transactions in-house or instructing external firms.
• Report on contract terms and title-related risks, engaging in negotiations to resolve unacceptable risks.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external counsel and focus on process enhancement and cost management.
• Provide legal support throughout the habitat bank onboarding process and its lifetime.
