• 4+ years experience in backend development working on complex systems.
• Experience writing robust, scalable, maintainable HTTP and RESTful APIs.
• Substantial experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of writing high-quality and reliable code and how to test it.
• Ability to distil complex problems and communicate technical vision clearly.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and develop new features for the policy administration system in a cross-functional team.
• Continuously improve the insurance platform by refactoring code.
• Engineer solutions to reduce technical debt and scale efficiently.
• Take ownership of the vision for the policy administration system.
• Write high-quality code and documentation.
• Push the technology forward and support junior team members.
