Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, economics, or related field, or equivalent related experience.
• Ten years of experience in complex claims handling or claims litigation, including at least three years in claims litigation.
• Insurance designations such as AIC, CPCU, or other insurance education preferred.
• Exceptional knowledge of litigation management, coverage, and technical file handling.
• Strong ability to evaluate legal liability, damages, coverages, and exposure.
• Excellent knowledge of insurance contracts, medical terminology, and legal aspects of court procedures.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Directly handles the company's most complex casualty claims and litigated claims nation-wide.
• Models best claims handling practices emphasizing strategic handling and resolution.
• Delivers expert support to regional casualty claims teams on various topics.
• Proactively manages assigned claims to conclude while pursuing early resolution.
• Sets accurate reserves and conducts thorough investigations into claims.
• Reviews and evaluates serious injury claims and communicates status to stakeholders.
• Identifies and develops new training programs for claims teams.
