Requirements:

• A current AAPC or AHIMA coding certification.
• 3+ years of recent auditing experience in procedure and diagnosis codes.
• 3+ years of recent auditing experience in emergency department, primary care, and/or E/M leveling.
• 3+ years of recent auditing experience in a professional fee outpatient setting.
• A deep understanding of current coding and reimbursement guidelines, medications, and documentation requirements.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy/physiology, diseases, and medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for technological innovation in medical coding.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing medical records across various outpatient specialties for accurate coding.
• Performing audits on physician documentation to verify accuracy.
• Preparing requested audit reports for engineering and client success teams.
• Sharing insights and education on coding to assist product development.
• Tracking and summarizing changes in coding and billing rules for relevant teams.
