Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in a related field required (for example, Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community planning, hazard mitigation, or a related role.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Must have experience with PCs, MS Office, Adobe, Google Mail, Citrix Sharefile, and online meeting platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support community planning efforts to develop and implement projects that enhance resilience.
• Provide technical assistance in the development of comprehensive plans, hazard mitigation plans, and other planning documents.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to community risk and resilience, and create maps and visualizations to support planning efforts.
• Engage with community stakeholders to gather input and provide updates on project progress.
• Ensure that all planning activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
• Assist in managing project tasks, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Provide training and capacity-building support to local communities for response to natural disasters.
