- Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or relevant field preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of outside sales experience; Education Technology, SaaS or Publishing experience preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate proprietary software and utilize CRM systems.
- Knowledge of Industry standards and curiosity about future educational industry needs.
- Willingness to travel overnight a minimum of 50% of the time (seasonally).
- Proven track record of sales success.
- Experience in speaking and presenting in front of large groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for problem-solving using a consultative sales approach.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, prioritizing, organizing, and time management.
- Ability to work with a team to achieve shared goals.
- Goal-oriented, focused, strategic, and actively engaged in assigned territory.
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar software; experience with Salesforce.com a plus.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales goals through new account development and retention and growth of existing customers.
- Research potential sales opportunities within the assigned territory to target key contacts.
- Source new sales opportunities through new and existing leads.
- Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to process quotes and close sales.
- Prospect and build a sales pipeline utilizing multiple methods including email, phone, trade show leads, face-to-face, and inbound website leads.
- Manage all post-sales activities and provide support to new customers to ensure year-over-year retention sales revenue.
- Communicate and document market insights, feedback, and customer takeaways with other UWorld teams.
- Prioritize meetings with decision-makers and conduct on-site presentations and sales demonstrations.
- Conduct webinar presentations and attend conferences and tradeshows to interact with potential customers.
- Embrace and adapt to changes within a fast-growing sales organization.
